How to use Sage Green in your Interiors

The colour sage green has seen a resurgence in our homes, Instagram feeds and Pinterest boards over the past year; and after being stuck indoors during numerous lockdowns it's no wonder we're craving some greenery (this would certainly explain my ever-growing collection of houseplants).

As a herb, sage is known for its healing properties and in colour therapy green helps us to rebalance our emotions and relax, which is something we all want to achieve at home.

Whatever your reason for choosing this calming colour we've got plenty of inspiring ideas to help you incorporate it into your home decor.

1. Painted Walls

The most obvious way of injecting your home with sage green is by slapping the colour straight onto your walls, just like @theflatabove. The neutral colours and natural textures make this the dreamiest boho bedroom.Sage green walls in boho bedroom - Megan Heloise Blog How to Style Sage Green Interiors

2. Panelling

Can you even call yourself an Instagram home influencer if you don't have wall panelling?! This is a super simple (and impressive looking) way of bringing a splash of colour into a room without painting every wall, or even an entire wall if only panelling a section of it, just like @decor_at_number4. This sage green and gold combo is a match made in heaven!Sage green wall panelling in modern bedroom - Megan Heloise Blog How to Style Sage Green Interiors

3. Furniture

I am OBSESSED with this sage green sideboard by @amyedwardshome; it really is 'A Modern Classic' as Amy describes it. Also, if you didn't know by now I'm pretty passionate about sustainability so I'm most definitely on board with upcycling granny's old furniture to give it a new lease of life.Sage green painted furniture - Megan Heloise Blog How to Style Sage Green Interiors

4. Accessories

Add a splash of sage to your home with pillow shams, vases or some fancy glassware. These gorgeous glasses from @clapthatglass will definitely impress your guests, and best of all they're ✨  vintage ✨.

5. Wall Decor

Last but not least, liven up your bare walls with sage green art prints. Make a statement with extra large framed art or mix and match pieces to create a boho inspired gallery wall. P.S All of our art prints can be customised to perfectly suit your decor.
